VAP News > 17th May 2022: Climate Justice and Raising Peace

Our database offers projects in many countries but this isn’t everything!
VAP is part of a worldwide network. Through our membership of the Co-ordinating Committee for International Voluntary Service (CCIVS) and our links with the Alliance we can find volunteer opportunities for you all over the world, sometimes tailor-made for what interests you most. So, if at a first glance we have nothing that grabs you, contact us with your ideas and we can try to find what suits you best.

As members of a global International Voluntary Service movement VAP wholeheartedly supports CCIVS campaigns, in particular Raising Peace, concerned with human rights, and Climate Justice about maintaining a sustainable environment. VAP participates with themed workcamps, talks and special events in the UK. There are also occasional opportunities to join training or a conference outside the UK some of which carry funding support.

Quote of the day

« In total I spent just under 3 weeks in Iceland. I had the best time of my life ever. And I feel my life has benefited from the change it has brought about within me and the valuable lessons I learnt. I have more awareness of life, a larger sense of adventure and heightened curiosity about the world. »

Helen C. from Kingston upon Hull
