Volunteers will sleep and work on the land, building and improving the trail system around the outdoor classroom and expanding the student vegetable garden by digging new beds. This project involves daily physical labor in woody and sunny areas. All training will be provided. Bring work boots, warm clothes as nights can be chilly, and bathing suit for time off.
Accomodation & food:
Volunteers will camp on the Willowell land and should bring sleeping bags and pillows. Volunteers may bring their own tent, but group tents will be provided. Solar showers and port-a-let at the site. Cooking will take place over the fire and with a pizza oven on the land. Vegetarian meals available.

In the foothills of the Green Mountains, Monkton is a small rural community about 40 minutes from Burlington and a short distance from mountain swimming holes, Lake Champlain, and beautiful hikes. A community celebration, an excursion to Burlington, and fun outdoor activities are planned. STUDY THEME: Four Years Go campaigna global movement to reverse the effects of climate change.
Harvesting, weeding and other garden tasks, in the community gardens. Helping prepare lunches and packaging rescue food. Participants must be flexible and willing, to help with all tasks.

Sleeping on mattresses on the floor of a house. Bring sleeping bags. Food will be primarily vegetarian. Cooking will be shared by participants.
Location & leisure:
Eugene, Oregon is a unique town with a population of about 150,000. It is a University town, bicycle friendly, with many small sustainable businesses and non-profits. Participants can be met at the airport in Eugene, with prior notice. There is also an AMTRAK and Greyhound bus station. Eugene is two hours south of Portland, Oregon, an hour to the coast, and an hour to the Cascade mountains. Biking along the river, visiting local market, a one-day trip outside of Eugene to mountains or coast will be organized. The final weekend is the annual Eugene Celebration including a parade, lots of music, films, art and good food STUDY THEME: Hunger around the world.

Must be able to ride a bicycle Bicycles will be provided. Bring work boots and gloves. No smoking during camp. No drugs allowed.
Assisting neighborhood residents in cleaning up alleys, vacant lots, and helping elderly and disabled people with things that they can no longer get out and do. We will also be helping in the community gardens throughout the neighborhood and may assist with building repairs or improvements at the community-owned grocery co-op.

Vols will be living in a house in the community. Meals will be prepared together and with other families in the neighborhood.

STUDY THEME: City restoration and community development. Less than two miles from downtown St. Louis, MO. LEISURE ACTIVITIES: Bikes and bike trails close by; jazz, soul and blues clubs, theatre district and several museums are within driving distance or accessible by public transit.

There are historic gardens to be maintained, grounds work to be done after the re-construction of a barn and walkways or fencing to be built. Volunteers may also help at small sustainable farms in the area with seasonal work or help move the Museum s collection of farm artifacts.

Rural, Brownington is a historic district in the village of Orleans, 15 miles south of Canada. Hike, swim, canoe, picnic, press cider and enjoy the outdoors during the best month of the year. Explore the museum and learn more about the history of Vermont. Photograph and help with our bike and running 1/2marathon race. STUDY THEME: Local history, sustainable agriculture, community.
