Amis de la Terre Togo

Les Amis de la Terre-Togo (ADT) is a non-profit organization, of environment protection and promotion of sustainable development, which works to promote volunteering and international youth exchanges between the North and the South. It was created June 20, 1990.

1- The goal of Les Amis de la Terre Togo is to improve the lives of people through the involvement of young people in projects that promote solidarity and brotherhood among peoples and nations by raising awareness about the problems humanity is facing by investing in safeguarding activities and rehabilitation of the environment in the context of sustainable development.

2- The specific objectives are as follow:
• Support and promote the idea of youth activities by new forms of social engagement and participation in the advent of a democratic and open society;

• Encourage the flow of people and ideas through international trade to strengthen and increase brotherhood, knowledge, understanding and peace among nations;

• Contribute to the development of local communities through volunteer participation in local and international projects of common interest, particularly in rural areas;

• Promote quality of life that can defend and protect the environment in the context of sustainable development.

II- ACTIVITIES
Since 1991, Friends of the Earth Togo organizes work camps in two to three weeks, especially during the period from July to September. It also organizes seminars for young volunteers and work camps facilitators and many other activities for capacity building of volunteers.
