The city of Cochabamba has its central square "September 14th" that since the Water War of 2000 is characterized in that it develop various social and cultural activities. It is in this context that the Red Tinku active in the "Plaza del Agua" exposing information panels, educational, holding exhibitions, fairs and film festivals, poetry, books, educational workshops, film forum, etc. This year in August, the Plaza "September 14th" receive hundreds of visitors for the Summer Holidays houses and a good opportunity to demonstrate the potential of participatory culture and people in the square.

Lake Titicaca is a beautiful and much-venerated sacred lake that lies, near Copacabana town. According to Incan mythology, it was from Lake Titicaca that the creator god Viracoca rose up to create the sun, moon, stars, and first human beings. Recently, a large temple was discovered submerged in the lake, adding to its mystery and fascination. At 3,200 square miles in size and up to 1,000 feet in depth, Titicaca is one of the largest, highest lakes in the world.
Aims of the project:
- To raise awareness of the importance of taking care of the Sacred Titicaca Lake. - Allow local people to have access to training on cultural issues related to World Heritage site and its relationship to the site. - Allow local people to have access to training on issues related to World Heritage and its relation to the site. - Involvement of various social groups and the local population of the town of Copacabana, it is interesting the way that we work by differences in age, gender, culture and vision on this issue.
Workshops:
The Sacred Titicaca Lake has an archaeological Copacabana richness culture, which makes this site a key point for the economy of the region. It is important to raise awareness about the importance of valuing, take care of this heritage. Is expected to have participation from child, local traders and transporters boaters and boats that give tours of the Sacred Lake, in order to conduct the following Educational Environmental Workshops: - Education in the environmental care - Historical and archaeological worshops - Social and historical value of the heritage - Intercultural meeting
Awareness campaigns will also be conducted with the local population of Copacabana.

In August, the city of Cochabamba and Quillacollo have a socio-cultural activity. For this reason Red Tinku organizes meetings and cultural events in places and alternative spaces, such as plazas, cultural centres and on the street. This year 2014 will organize the International Art and Culture event "Pachamama Tinku" to promote popular culture in alternative spaces.

In the month of December, the Andean culture Millennial Festival celebrates Summer solstice. A very important month in the peasant agricultural cycle that sees the start of the rainy season in the Andes. It is in this context that Red Tinku participates annually in the preparation of these events and in the dissemination of community meetings and Kollasuyu that are culturally shared between Southern Peru, Bolivia, Northern Chile and Argentina. This year the event will be held in the Aymara region of Arica, Chile.
ACTIVITIES:
- Volunteers prepare events towards the meeting. - Volunteers may also participate in the preparation and celebration of the Summer Solstice. - Volunteers will participate in the Annual Meeting of Communities and Kollasuyu.
