Participants will work on the construction and signposting of a little path that goes from the village water tank to the top of the hill, where it used to be the old castle. They will also clean the vegetal dirty of the abandoned and ruined houses.
Accomodation & food:
In the sports centre of the village. The participants will sleep with mattresses on the floor, there will be no pillows. The tables and benches will be the places where participants will put their clothes and bags. The outside covered porches will be used as dining room. The participants will use the bathrooms of the sports centre with hot water. Free entrance to the municipal swimming pool, close to the sports centre.
Location & leisure:
Communication and recycling activities, traditional games from each country, one activity with the kids of the village, cultural excursions to Gerb and its surroundings, visit to Balaguer and the market, one night excursion to the outlook. Two-day excursion from La Pobla to Vilanova de la Sal sleeping in a shelter (La Tolla) with bunk beds and bathrooms with no hot water. There will be one excursion to the top of the Pica Roja Mountain to enjoy the view.

El Parcent is a rural town, which is trying to keep their local population, nature and customs. For this, they need some friends and buddy to create a positive atmosphere between the citizens, as this song says: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EHV0zs0kVGg . The work of volunteers will be to help restoring rural natural paths of the village. On the other side, we hope that volunteers will get in contact and get along with the local people, creating good atmosphere and showing them in a way how taking care of your natural habitats is important. So although you will be working in cleening paths.

Accomodation will be provided in the gym of a local school. It is necessary to bring your sleeping bag or sheet to cover yourself and lower sheet.

El Parcent is a small rural village near to the east coast of Spain. It features the small but beautiful Holy Virgin church, and is surrounded by rolling hills and mountains. Writer Gabriel Miro (1879-1930) was a resident of Parcent and called it a paradise between the mountains . It is also close to Jalon (written as Xalo in Catalan), which is famous for its excellent wine production and markets. The traditional economy of Parcent relies on almond and orange farming in the surrounding area. The nearest sea side is 23 km far away in Denia.

This summer we will begin a new project centered in the great tradition of gypsum in the region that was used to make ovens plaster construction. We will start the restoration of the three ovens and the first tasks will be starting the cleaning operation.
Accomodation & food:
In the multipurpose room of the municipality building La Pena , sleeping on the floor with mattresses, no pillows, and using tables as place to store clothes and backpacks. There are showers with hot water in the municipality pool, which will be accessible to the volunteers.

Two-day excursion around Balaguer. There will be integration moments as a welcoming dinner party, visit with local guides, popular games, communication games, evenings and night games, chats, games with children, and a lot more.Cultural outings: outing around Serra Llarga, cultural visit to Algerri, outing to the Cervoles s hermitage with a tractor, touristic visit to Balaguer and its market, night out in Serra Llarga.

There are a number of activities to understand and get to know the local area and its environment and heritage: cultural visits, activities with catalan Castellers and diables (typical catalan cultural activities), workshops, sailing and canoeing, etc. There will be a weekend excursion to Cap de Creus and Cadaques, and a day visit to Figueres and the Dali museum.
