2019 will be the seventh year the work camp has been organized and its purpose is the recovery of a network of trenches located on the Mount Lemoatx where a battle was fought during the Spanish Civil War. One of the objectives is to recover historic memory by carrying out excavation works and research, following the footprints of the Civil War in the year 1937. Work carried out in previous years uncovered more trenches than expected. Given that these findings have significant repercussions for the area and its inhabitants, this year the aim is to study a new area that, from an archaeological point of view, may be very important. To do this, new excavation works will be carried out. The work is overseen by the Aranzadi Science Association. http://www.aranzadi.eus/

« I would recommend participating in a workcamp, especially with VAP, who ensured that I found a project to suit me and provided essential training for me in preparation for my trip. Being part of a workcamp really is a life-changing experience, oh, and it looks great on your CV! »
