Removal and cleaning of existing vegetation, both inside and outside as well as on the perimeter of the archaeological structures. Manual cleaning and scraping building elements (walls, floors, etc.), in order to remove harmful vegetation that may damage architectural elements. All archaeological objects found will be collected, documented and stored for further study. . Implementing archaeological methodology to excavate certain structures, strictly recording the stratigraphy of deposition levels and the construction units that may be present in the subsoil. During this process, all archaeological material will be collected. An archaeological sounding is also planned. Recording all the archaeological materials collected, for further research and subsequent storage in the Museo Arqueológico Regional de la Comunidad de Madrid (Regional Archaeological Museum in Madrid Region) as regulatory required.

Historically, the Paular Valley has been linked to the Batanes Estate as an industrial development model linked to sustainable use of resources, such as the use of different hydraulic devices to harness water power. This year, the proposed actions are a continuation of those of previous workcamps, and are intended to add value to the remains of these infrastructures as well as other conservation measures. In the volunteer camp, not everything is work, and you will have the opportunity to enjoy leisure and free time activities: • Visit to the historic center and other tourist attractions in Madrid, such as Plaza España, Gran Vía and El Retiro Park. . • Excursión to Alcalá de Henares and visit to the archaeological site of Complutum and visit to the Museo Arqueológico Regional. • Visit to the Monastery of Santa María del Paular. • Sports activities: mountain biking and interpretive hiking tours. • Workshops on orientation in nature, collaborative games, archery, swimming, etc.

The aim of this workcamp is to preserve the natural reserve area surrounding called "Fonts del rio Algar". More concretely, the work will be mainly dedicated to parks and gardens maintenance or "arboretum": removing the over-grown grass, weeding some parts of the grasslands and the edge of the woods, maintaining footpaths. Volunteers will also take part in the clean-up of some areas of the reserve where building waste has been found and if time allows it, they will carry out some painting works around the centre. There will be other additional tasks to change the daily routine of the volunteers. In each camp, the volunteers will work on a mosaic wall composed of old tiles and pebbles to decorate the area and the volunteer house. Aslo there will one day of social work with the youngsters of thown in the local youth center.

In a small rural house, some kilometres away from the village centre, with 2 different rooms. No need to bring a mattress but bring lower sheets and a summer sleeping bag is necessary. The centre is equipped with showers and WC.The food is provided by our campleaders and the volunteers will be cooking in groups by the guidance of our campleader.

The municipality is located in the province of Alicante, in the northern part of the Marina Baixa region, 10 km from the coast and 42 km from the city of Alicante.Algar Waterfalls at only 15 km from Benidorm and 3 km from the center of Callosa. This area was declared a Wetland protected by the Valencian Government. It is a park about the importance of water as an environmental resource, economical and cultural. The visit is a route through a circuit of 1.5 km in length along, where you can walk through the bed of the river Algar, see the spectacular waterfalls and the numerous sources, the "tolls" (pools of water) where you can take refreshing swims in crystal clear water, the old dam, the imposing century-old canal and ditches still in use.Apart from the Waterfalls, there are other interesting sites in Callosa like the cultural heritage of the town, old narrow streets in the center. Also, there are several beautiful hiking routes around Callosa. One of the most spectacular places is El Fort de Bèrnia.Not far from Callosa, you can visit a town called Guadalest which has an ancient castle. Also, Altea, another beautiful town near the sea can be visited. The beach is not far from the house and somedays, the volunteers can take a trip to the beach of Altea.

The purpose of this work camp is to participate into the recovery the old paths and the history of the Pyrenees in the "Vall de Siarb". The families will learn about culture, nature, and participate in different activities of preservation and conservation of the area.The technical work that will be carried out in the field of work consists in general, in different tasks related to the recovery of the old roads of the valley. There is the chance to split kids/teens from parents and do differents tasks some days of the week.
The followings are the main ones:
- Road clearing:
mowing grass, bushes, etc., which grow in the spring to leave the roads comfortably passable on foot.
- Remove stones from the road:
pick up stones that have fallen on the road and set them aside in an orderly manner at the edges to make the passage passable.
- Rebuild the simplest sections of dry stone wall:
rebuild those walls that have fallen and are easily rebuildable.
- Improved signage with paint:
review the tracking marks of the paths with paint according to the instructions given to us by the "Alt Pirineu" Natural Park.
- Improved paved sections:
some trails have cobbled sections that have worn out.At the same time, there will be also ambiental activities about the flora and fauna of the area.

The accommodation is in a rural field near the village of Vilamur, in the heart of The Pyrenees. So you should definitely be eager to have a (somehow) wild experience with your people!Your family will spend a week in a campsite and you'll be camping and sleeping in a tent (one each family) provided by the hosting organization (but feel free to bring yours).You must bring your own mattress and sleeping bag (it's highly recommended a good one as in the Pyrenees it can be cold at nights even in summertime).The toilet is a latrine, and the shower is the hose with cold water. We strongly recommend bringing Eco and biodegradable shower gel or shampoo.
The families are in charge to cook and to keep the area clean and safe:
you will self organized and split into different small groups, that will cook for the rest of the families, taking daily turns.The organization will create the menus, will provide the food, the camping gas and cutlery necessary, for cooking.There's no WiFi at the campsite. However, there's a mobile phone signal in the area so you should be able to connect to 3G or 4G almost everywhere. No heating available.
IMPORTANT:
there is no electricity in the camp, but in the village (5 minutes by foot) there is a fridge and electricity point.

The Sant Antoni Tower is a 4-hectare farm, with a 19th century house, this farm consists of several interconnected spaces, due to the different habitats and ecosystems. It has been designed with permaculture criteria and is cultivated with ecological and sustainable methods.The volunteers will work from 8am to 1pm and in the evening, they will be able to have free time activities.
Volunteers will conduct the following tasks:
a) Identification and selection of plant species, and removing those that are harmful to that environment. They will plant Lantana camara, Nerum oleander and Pistacia lentiscus..b) Removal of ivy, pruning of dogwoods, cleaning of the space and repair the existing margins.c) In this area there are many remnants of old irrigation pipes, those will be collected and prepared to take to the rubbish dump.d) Pool for amphibious: a hole it's been made in this place, but they will have to waterproof the pond and naturalize it by planting native species.e) Watering cans: of the uses, identification and cleaning of watering cans.f) With the plant elements obtained the previous day, they will extend the fence of the garden below, sewing the branches and trunks together.g) Banks: they will disassemble and remove the paint, choose the good woods and replace those that are needed.h) Painting of the old tennis fence: they will tension and repair the tennis court fence and paint it. Thet will also paint lines for different games and turn it into a multipurpose track.i) Repainting doors of the area: the volunteers will clean the doors and repaint them too.j) Clean the old mud tiles, arrange some mud walls…

The house of Sant Antoni is composed of different rooms where long term volunteers live, the group of volunteers from the camp will be able to share rooms in bunk beds and also sleep in big tents outside. All the facilities are shared with other people.As the house it's in a natural place you need to consider that there will be insects and mosquitos.The house it's in the village of Jesús. Near Tortosa, you will be close to the mountains 20 minutes by car but also close to the seaside (20 minutes by train) in Ampolla.The volunteers will sleep in 2 rooms of 6 people (in bunk beds), and others can sleep in mattresses in big tents. In case of rain, mattresses from the tent can be placed into the rooms.No differences between gender in the rooms and participants must bring a pillow and thin cover for nights. No bed linen provided.In the house there are 4 showers and 4 toilets and outside, there are 2 showers.During the day it can be really hot so volunteers need to be prepared with cups, solar cream, long thin clothes…They will share toilettes, kitchen, and other common spaces with other local volunteers.The organization will buy the food according to the menus done during the first 2 days, and volunteers will cook together as a group and will be vegetarian/vegan options.

The work will be mostly environmental and constructional. The idea is to help renovate a house that is serving as a volunteering centre in which it will be established environmental-friendly and sustainable agriculture in the gardens in the future. La Casa Jazmín is recently renovated but there are still some pending tasks to complete. Volunteers will carry out some basic tasks like painting, throwing out extra materials and organising spaces.Apart from the house renovation tasks, this project will have lots of different other tasks for the volunteers. We are collaborating with the local organisations in the towns around and they always need help from our volunteers. As we are organising the tasks according to the actual needs of the town, the work that you will do during the camp will vary but mainly will be about renovating, painting, organising spaces, decorating and doing environmental cleanings, trash pick up from the hiking paths or beaches etc. There are 5 Caza Jazmin camps starting from the end of June to end of August and once one task is over, the volunteers will pass to the other one and we can not guarantee in which camp you will be doing what task as it will be depending on the previous group`s speed.

The volunteers will stay in a volunteer house, with three rooms with several bunkbeds and bathrooms. They will share rooms with four to six other volunteers. Sanet is a small town in the southwest of Spain close to Dénia (communidad de Valencia). It lays in the beautiful countryside, surrounded by hills which are great for hiking - there are a lot of hiking trails to discover. There is a local swimming pool available and Dénia is only 5 minutes by cars. The house is located right in the middle of town, so there are great opportunities to interact and socialize with the locals and to truly experience the Spanish countryside.Furthermore, the volunteers can make excursions to Ondara and El Vergel, local towns close to Sanet. The surrounding villages like Benimelli and Ràfol d'Almunia can also be visited. There will also be day trips to the beach which is about 15 minutes by car from Sanet.

The main work in the camp will be the recovery off different dry stone works (wall, huts and CivilWar trenches). To do this, participants will have the support of experts from CESUB, Subiratshistorical studies group. This will be the principal work but you will take part part on some naturalistic andenvironmental works like nest boxes making or path cleaning. This wine history goes back to at leastthe 4th century B.C.The vineyard structures are thus a distinctive cultural feature of the area, and they have beenrefined over time. The Subirats area, halfway between the Vilafranca plain and the Ordalmountains, has steeper terrain than the rest of the region. That is why, in this area, the structureof dry stone walls and constructions, which are necessary for levelling the ground and plotting thevineyards, are quite important. Dry stone works were declared Cultural Patrimony of UNESCO dueto its historical importance and patrimonial value.Free time and leisure activities will include group games, workshops and cultural activities in orderto learn more about Catalan culture and the vineyard tradition in the area. Participants will visitcultural and historical areas and museum in Subirats, a wine and champagne factory and alsoVilafranca del Penedès, the Catalan wine capital. They will also visit the city of Barcelona, whichis only 45km from the accommodation area.During the camp, some spaces will be reserved to be able to make trips that allow the young people to know the reality of theterritory, as well as its heritage and traditions. Therefore, the following departures will be made:- Two-day excursion with bivouac to the Castle of Subirats.- Visit to the old town of Vilafranca del Penedès.- Visit to the Llopart quarries.
