Location & leisure:
The farm is located in Quattordio. In the farm there is table tennis, free wi-fi, guitar, a music keyboard. There are bicycles for the volunteers and cycle path available in the town for a ride among towers, castles, vineyards. At 300 meters far from the farm there is the public pool as well and tennis fields. By train is possible to go to Genova and to reach the sea in about two hours. Quattordio is not so far from Liguria, Tuscany and Milan.

Interest in agriculture and environment activities, and as well interest in renovation of historical assets. Bring rain coat, working clothes and comfortable shoes.
Volunteers will be taking care of maintenance of the rooms in Villa Bona, a wonderful historical villa of the 18th century surrounded by a big park, situated in Carignano. The work will include: the decoration of the walls, doors and windows; cleaning of the staircase and the wrought iron railings; cleaning the garden of the Villa. There will be also some maintenance work on wooden doors of the main church (Duomo di Carignano) built on 1757. Moreover the volunteers will make some gardening work in a club, called Barbo Merenderos , near the river Po and also restoring activities of some typical boat (barca a punta) that belong to that association. In June and some days of July, volunteers also will work with children (from 6 to 13 years old) in the summer camp of the village. For an amazing experience of exchange they could talk about their countries and also teach to the children typical songs or dances. The restoration of Villa Bona is being finalized to use the villa for public events by the committee and local organizations.

In a building with beds, communal bathrooms with showers and hot water and a kitchen. Bedrooms are provided with 4 to 6 beds per room. The volunteers are responsible for the cleaning and cooking. The organisation covers the cost of the meals and also the materials for the work. Volunteers must be equipped with a sleeping bag (or sheets), pillowcase and towels.

The town of Carignano (8700 inhabitants) is situated on the left bank of the river Po approximately 20 Km from Torino and within the Regional Parco Fluviale (park of the river). Its centre is of typical piemontese style, characterized by an ancient core with medieval archways and a baroque cathedral. The towns surroundings offer sites of architectural and naturalistic interest, it is also possible to reach Torino easily, as there are frequent coaches to the city. During the free time there are many exciting things to do such as visit the open market of Carignano and take part in some local events. On the weekends it will be possible for the group to organise a visit to Turin (there is a bus to and from Turin), visiting the Egyptian museum, the cinema museum, MAO museum of oriental art, the Holy Shroud etc. The costs of the FREE TIMES activities are not covered by the project.

Castello dell'Acqua is a very small country area. The population is very traditional and loves seeing people taking care of their land. LEGAMBIENTE LOCAL GROUP: Legambiente Lecco is made up of young and dinamic people, mostly under 30. The main activity of this Legambiente group is the management of an hostel; moreover, it has campaigned against food waste and for the correct waste management. Volunteers will continue the work of last year workcamp, they will renovate the space outside and inside of the building, create things for the embellishment of the area, together with migrants living in the SPRAR (Protection System for Asylum Seekers, refugees and humanitarian protected) and local volunteers. People living in the SPRAR are around 14-17 years old.
Accomodation & food:
Volunteers will share a common room and sleep in mattresses or in beds according to availability. Volunteers will cook together with migrants hosted in the SPRAR and help in domestic chores.

Mazzarino is a small town quite active during the summer time. Beaches are no far away. Trip can be arranged among host and volunteers.

PROJECT: The project includes some local actions about: - restore and adding cycle paths billboards; - planning and building up a new path through the S. Stino forest; - cleaning of the trails among trees in the wood; - promotion of local products through the involvement of associations and companies of this territory. LEGAMBIENTE LOCAL GROUP: Legambiente "Pascutto-Geretto", as local group, was born almost twenty years ago at the urging of Geretto Franco, a native of Torre di Mosto, which also identifies the territory of the Eastern Veneto the need for a critical environmental and purposeful presence that vigilant about a territory in the process of rapid transformation. The club is named after the Romano Pascutto important dialect poet and writer born in S. Stino di Livenza. Later, after the death of the founder, the members decided to assign to the club the surname of Geretto. LOCATION AND LEISURE: The town of San Stino di Livenza, where the Green Station is located, is a rich area in terms of environmental values, historical and landscape, as well as being a central node in the system of mobility infrastructure such as highway, railway and waterway, features that make it an crucial junction for the tourist itineraries. PROJECT: The Parco del Castello di Verde technical staff people are creating ecological connections among the different natural environments of the Park, in order to improve the biodiversity of the area. During the camp, volunteers will be involved in the creation of the footpaths and their road signs. LEGAMBIENTE LOCAL GROUP: Legambiente Voghera-Oltrepò has been active in the area for 30 years. We coordinate green areas cleaning days, planting trees, educational workshops in schools.
