Project : This project is open for 2 volunteers. They will be integrated into the group of 6-8 long term volunteers of the association. Volunteers can join and quit the project any time, but an engagement for three weeks minimum is requested. The church in Moussac has been certified being a historical monument in 1977. The community welcomes the volunteers in order to renovate this church of the 12th century and to bring international dynamics in the village. The volunteers will work inside the building: after having removed the old plaster from the walls, they will work on the floor renovation. The inhabitants of the village hope to find soon their old church 'relooked'. Project : In the south of the Hautes-Alpes department, the town of Laragne is situated between the Alps mountains and the hills of Provence. In the outskirst of the town, the specialized hosting centre, Soleil Ame hosts twenty autistic residents throughout the year. During this project you will help the center to transform its garden into a therapeutic garden, which will be useful for the residents. Together with the long term volunteers of the international center The village of Vaunires and some of the autistic residents, you will create artistic garden boxes and improve the area in order to grow vegetables and flowers. You will thus have the possibility to create links which cross international borders as well as borders related to disabilities. You will also have time to discover Laragne, visit the region and organize outdoor activities. The community of St. Geniès de Malgoirs owns a park in the heart of the village. For some years now they have started to recondition this park (field clearing). This year, the community wish to restore the walls of a channel which led water to the old mill in the past. This is the third year of the partnership between Solidarités Jeunesses REV and the municipality with one of the aims restoration of the whole park. The group of volunteers will work together with a technical leader and an municipality employee in charge of the park maintenance. Volunteers could also create interactive projects or evenings with an 'all-round' association of the village.

Project: The project consists in the renovation of the medieval town's fortifications and works in the surroundings of the church. These fortifications located in the centre of the town date from the middle-ages and show the glorious past of the former ducal city; like the memorable battle of the thirty Breton knights led by Jean III de Beaumanoir and English knights (1351) or the war of the League (1594). Moreover you will have to enhance the beauty of the place and make alive this heritage with the inhabitants of Plormel. Work: You will participate in several masonry tasks on the fortifications : replace stones, remake the joints of the walls, work on a wayside cross and on the base of the church. This work will be done according to the original frame. Language: French & English. Location: Plormel is located in the region of Morbihan, between Rennes and Lorient. It is a very old town, former refuge of the dukes of Brittany in the middle-ages and former strong place for the commerce. Accommodation: Under tents close to sports facilities. You can bring your tent if you have one. Terminal: At the Plormel bus station. Airports : Rennes, Nantes or Paris. Special requirements: Bring work gloves, hiking shoes, warm and working clothes, a good sleeping bag, a mattress, a backpack and a swimming suit.
Project: Clausonne abbey was built in the 12th century, a few kilometers away from the actual village of le Saix, in the south Alps of France. It is located at alt. 1100m in a very preserved and quiet environment. Throughout the centuries, the abbey was burnt, destroyed and rebuilt many times. At the beginning of the 20th century, it had become the local parish. Some years later, the main part was finally transformed into a primary school... Since then, the villages around have been deserted and the abbey came to ruins. Many workcamps were organized on the spot in partnership with a local organization, The Abbey of Clausonnes friends, in order to protect the ruins from vegetation and hard winters. The aim of 2012 workcamp is to improve the access to the abbey by building a stone paved foot track. The volunteers will explore traditional techniques of masonry and old know how as building stone walls. This workcamp is also a good opportunity to discover the rural lifestyle, the mountains, its fauna and flora. Montendre is a town of 3000 inhabitants that has been home to an international hosting center La Maison des Bateleurs for several years. The volunteers hosted here will take part in the project developed by the association. The life will be collective and a global introduction of the organization and functioning will take place upon their arrival so that they get introduced to the values of the association, its activities and its functioning. The volunteers will participate in an ongoing environmental project and in the different projects developed with our local partners.
The aim of this project is to develop the pedagogical tools necessary to raise awareness and respect for an environmental way of life (dry-pit toilet, pedagogical garden, etc.). They will do some carpentry work, traditional masonry or garden improvement work. The volunteers work closely with children, teenagers or adults from different backgrounds which are hosted in the center. The volunteers will also be encourage to do some creative or cultural activities with the hosted groups. Moreover, they will take part in the logistic organization and the animation of different events (musical, cultural, theatrical, artistic events) in different villages around the center.
The volunteers will work closely with the associations, inhabitants, municipalities and all the people involved in these local events. At last, the volunteers can be involved in other international workcamps that take place in the region of Poitou-Charentes during the summer (renovation, artistic, cultural projects) with the partner municipalities.

PROJECT: The project will take place at the very centre of the town, near the church, in an ideal location for a volunteer workcamp. This project is part of the municipal policy to embellish the village square. The volunteers and the inhabitants will work side by side during this workcamp! In addition to the work, the volunteers will have the opportunity to discover the local heritage during hikes in the region, and also the famous magpie island (l'le aux pies), as well as the Breton culture, and meet new people. WORK: You will do traditional brickwork on the wall surrounding the church, repointing and renovation of the wall. Exchanges with the inhabitants on the improvement of their architectural heritage in sight. ACCOMMODATION: In tents at the local camp site, access to the sport facilities; meals indoors. LANGUAGE: French & English. LOCATION: Close to Redon, in the Ille et Vilaine district. TERMINAL: At the train station in Redon. Airports : Rennes, Nantes or Paris. The Project The city of Grigny is happy to host you for the third time in the heart of the Saint Lazare park, which is the place of organic vegetable farming. In partnership with employees of an intergration project of the organisation, specialized in learning vegetable farming, you will realise works for building an educational farm in a sustainable way. The work In the long term, we want to set up an educational farm in the Saint Lazare park. The volunteers will take part in this project by building several living places for future animals (henhouses, rabbit places, bird cages). Volunteers will also be able to participate to the farming activity on the site. The activities On your arrival the animation team will give you many idea of activities. Your own ideas are welcome and any suggestions will be nice! Be imaginative! We expect that you participate in activities. The activities are decided together with the volunteers and the animation team. You will live a life experience as a group, do not forget it! This year again, volunteers will participate in the local community lake celebration which gather 5000 people.
