this will be the first workcamp that Concordia organises with the village of Parné-Sur-Roc. This lovely typical village has developed outside the main communication axis and therefore has been able to conserve a rich historical heritage. One of the main objectives of this workcamp is to favour the intercultural exchanges between local and international youths.
WORK:
You will restore a wall using traditional masonry.
ACOMMODATION:
collective accommodation under tents in a soccer stadium. Cleaning and cooking tasks will be done together. Bring a sleeping mat and a sleeping bag. If you own a tent, you can bring it.

Several successful workcamps ahs been organised in the town of Emerainville between 2002 and 2006, the town has asked the association VirVolt to carry out a new international workcamp in the family gardens located near the Environment House and near a natural reserve. These gardens are made up of 80 lands lent to the locals to grow their vegetable gardens.
Work:
Volunteers will work together with young locals and three youth leaders to restore part of the wall surrounding for those family gardens. The upper part of this stone wall is damaged and needs restoration work. Therefore, the tasks will be to rebuild the wall with stones, make the joints and finish the top of the wall by using bricks. All this work will be done by using lime, stones and bricks in order to keep in with the original aspect of the wall.
Leisure activities:
Working activities will develop in the morning. In the afternoon, other activities will be organised to meet locals, other young people from the area and to discover the local surroundings. Volunteers can also organise collective activities depending on the budget available. Two days for visiting Paris will also be concidered during the weekends. The celebration of the National French Holiday on the 14th July, as well as the summer festivities developed by the town could also be interesting leisure opportunities for volunteers.

In the local gym on camping beds. Participants are required to bring along a sleeping bag.
Location:
Emerainville is located 25 Km East of the Paris, in the region of Seine-et-Marne. Note: The project should not be seen as a touristic stay close to Paris. If participants wish to visit Paris, they should plan their arrival some days before or leave some days after the dates of the camp.
This project is implemented by the Centre de Beaumotte and the commune of High Sanoise de Marnay. The commune is anxious to host volunteers in a workcamp for the second time and to and enjoy a cultural experience. This is a project to promote local heritage but also to provide real moments of exchange within the village.
Work:
It is foreseen to carry on last year's work. Repairing and cleaning a wall along the canal and painting the launderette in the village.
Leisure Time:
Leisure time will be devoted to the discovery of the local heritage and meeting with people. Various activities such as visits, international food, or sports will be held with the residents and the youth of the town. The pool at the campsite can be enjoyed on various occasions, visiting the city of Besancon, participating in the National Day on July 14th and attending the fireworks. The volunteers can also visit the towns located nearby.

Volunteers will sleep in tents in the camping area on camping beds. The kitchen is located outside under a shelter. Volunteers need to bring a sleeping bag.
The Centre de Beaumotte develops various actions within the framework of local development and international exchange. The project is based on the mixity of the public. Every summer, the association wants to allow adolescents aged between 15 to 17 years to experience life during an international workcamp.
Work:
Volunteers will build ecotoilets outside. In order to raise awareness of water conservation and preservation of the environment, the association wants to offer adolescents the possibility to combine reflection and action on this subject, while installing these new toilets in the garden center.
Leisure Time:
The afternoon will be devoted to leisure activities, volunteers and leaders spend this time together. The volunteers will meet the permantent habitants of the center during the collective moments while dining, in the kitchen or in the household. The preparation of meals will be made in turn by all persons present on the site at this time. Visit of the city of Besanon, in the chapel of Ronchamp or walks in the mountains of the Jura are scheduled.
Accomodation:
Volunteers will sleep in tents in the association's garden, on camping beds. Volunteers can enjoy all facilities of the structure as well as all other parts of collective life. A sleeping bag is needed.

The town of La Ferté-sous-Jouarre has been known for its millstone industry, exporting this very good quality stone all around the world until the early twentieth century. Since 2007, the Association VirVolt has established itself in this town. This association helps in the boosting the millstone heritage by organising international workcamps.
Work:
All throughout the summer, international volunteers, French volunteers and locals will take turns in different millstone heritage restoration workcamps. As illustration of possible tasks: the restoration of the upper part of the surrounding wall of a local park or making the joints between the stones of the quay of the Port aux Meules (on the bankside of the Marne). Participants will be trained in ancient masonry techniques (concrete made with lime). Moreover, other small-scale workcamps could be carried out in the gardens of the association.
Leisure activities:
Volunteers will be able to take advantage of different entertainment activities taking place on the site of the association - especially thecircus. They will also have the chance to discover the cultural and natural heritage of the country of the Brie and the Champagne. Meetings with young locals will also be scheduled. Leisure activities will be organised collectively, depending on the possibilities and on the available budget.

You will be accommodated in a camp site close to nature, along a river and you will sleep in tents for 2 or 3 persons. A large tent (and equipments) will be provided for the collective aspects of life (meals, etc).
