The project involves the construction of eco-friendly elements such as compost bins, a bicycle shelter and wooden furniture. One of the goals is to invite the local community to discover or rediscover simple technical means more favorable to the environment.In this open space several different workshops as well as educational and experimental assistance concerning environmental subjects will take place. Besides participating in these workshops, you will be required to promote these events in schools and the media library with the help of other local partners.

The budget will be allocated to the group leader and you will participate in the preparation of meals using healthy and local products of high quality.

Saint-Caprais-de-Bordeaux is a commune in the south-west of France, located in the department of Gironde, in the region of New Aquitaine. This region is particularly known for its vineyards. Surrounded by castles and wine cellars, this village is located less than an hour away from the ocean and 15 minutes away from Bordeaux.
Requirements:
The region offers a pleasant climate, which is why the month of May should be quite mild. Anyhow, plan to bring with you working clothes and rainwear. Remember to bring a sleeping bag.

The goal of this workcamp is to help the association "La Feina" to continue developping in agreement with the values of environmental protection. While in the workcamp, you will take a part in the construction of dry toilets, pick and cook eatable wild plants for collective meals, help maintaining the vegetable garden, install a system of water treatment. On the 6th and 7th of July, the association organises an inauguration weekend to which different associations and local elected members will be invited. During this weekend, workshops will be organised to raise participants' awareness on environmental issues. Concerts will be organised in the evening. You will help with welcoming the public, cooking, and setting up different workshops. Your work will be the basis of new habits of this oasis of calm!
Accomodation & food:
You will be accomodated in a wooden house, with mattresses, showers and dry toilets. Nature lovers can, however, bring their tents and sleep in the garden. The house has a separate kitchen but you will also be able to share meals in the cottage with local volunteers. Please note that the telephone network is low and that there is no wifi. You can bring a wifi hotspot if you want to. In case of emergency, there is an access to a computer in the office.

The association is located in a hamlet where some people (mostly hikers) spend their holidays. In the area, you will find a holiday cottage, huts, stone and wooden houses, a barn, a camping area, a vegetable garden... La Feina is located in the medieval municipality of Fontanges, full of historical heritage, close to the Cantal's mountains and the river Aspre. You will be able to hike and discover the surrounding villages, the fauna and flora, and taste local specialties of the village Salers!

It will be necessary to clear the cellars in which municipal material is stored in order to make it accessible. You will therefore empty the premises of bulky goods and clean the space (vaults, joinery). You will also have to open a small masonry door. This work can be physical at times.

You will stay in tents next to a football clubhouse with access to changing rooms, toilets, showers, and a kitchen. You will prepare the meals in shifts and participate in the organization of the collective life (planning, cleaning, shopping, etc.). We will encourage the purchase of local and seasonal products.

Launaguet is a small town in the Haute-Garonne, located close to Toulouse. It is today a city of 8700 inhabitants offering many services. Shops, associations, as well as various local services installed in the neigbourhood, contribute to the daily life of the village and make it an attractive place to live.
Requirements:
Bring working clothes and shoes (waterproof if possible, in case of rain). Bring a warm sleeping bag and a good camping mat (for sleeping in the tent); nights can be chilly and wet. Tents will be provided, but you are welcome to bring your own. Do not hesitate to bring activities from home, such as photos, games, musical instruments, food etc. And do not forget your swimming suit; you may need it!Foreigners from the European Union must bring their personal EHIC (European Health Insurance Card), and all participants must bring their insurance certificate. This workcamp is the result of collaboration between the village of Saint-Georges-des-Gardes, the social centre of Chemillois and Concordia. The inhabitants work on a collective project to develop the “Gardes” village located at the highest point of the department of Maine-et-Loire. For the past five years around 15 young people have been actively involved every year in the enhancing process: fixing a bus stop, painting, restoring of a well… For 4 years now, we wanted to open this project by welcoming 6 international young people and 10 locals.
Work:
You will work on developing and enhancing Les Gardes site by constructing a benches, pallet table and large outdoor games (checkers game, frog game). There will also be meetings with local sports associations to create photo frames. The general focus in this workcamp is on woodworking, painting and photography.
Accommodation and food:
You will be accommodated in tents, boys and girls separately. Sanitary facilities will be in the changing rooms. The collective life and the kitchen are in the covered yard of a little house called “Maison des energies”. Cleaning and cooking tasks will be done together. Bring a sleeping bag and a mat. You will experiment a sustainable lifestyle within the camp (local organic food, composting, energy saving).

Saint-Georges-des-Gardes is a small village (800 inhabitants) in the Maine-et-Loire region, located near the cities of Cholet and Angers. It is the highest point in the region.

The project will be defined in spring and we will keep you updated.During your stay, you will be accompanied by two camp leaders recruited by Concordia. The Community Center team will welcome you and will provide you with a room where you can store your personal belongings and take your meals. Local youth will be able to participate in the work camp and show you their area.

The technique suggested is a traditional technique: dry stone. Many of dry stone walls are still present on the territory. This technique contributes to the preservation of biodiversity by providing natural protection for insects and small animals and provides favorable conditions for plant development. Located between Nancy (60km - city of Duke Stanislas, with its mythical place, ranked in the top 5 of the most beautiful squares in the world) and Strasbourg (85 km - European capital, cosmopolitan and rich in history), Repaix is a small village very dynamic and surrounded by a remarkable historical and cultural heritage. Volunteers will be able to visit buildings such as Blâmont Castle or Lunéville Castle, visit the city of Baccarat renowned for its expertise in crystal glass, cross the road of renewable energies by visiting photovoltaic and thermal installations and wind turbin. There are many things to do around, so come to the workcamp and decide with the other volunteers what you want to see!
