This year you will work on the Herse's room at the entry of the Fort Liedot. The work consists of removing the vegetation covering the whole room; in order to begin masonry work. The workcamp will consist of stablizing a part of the wall, taking it off, reparing the stones, and finally rebuilding it. The other parts of the room should be joined with chalk mortar. The technical leader will train you in traditional masonry techniques, which are the exact same ones that were used in the construction of the Fort Liedot. Finally, you will building a wooden fence to enhance the security of the place.

Ile d'Aix: in the middle of the sea! 20km from Rochefort-sur Mer, Charente Maritime.Oh how many activities you will have this year in l'Île d'Aix! You will have the chance to set up and host the "Islanders Festival", and to enjoy all the activities it has to offer: concerts, shows, bass bands, local produce markets, expositions, and film projections. You could also practice your skills in some aquatic activities, like fishing or sailing, with the local clubs. During your free time, you will also have the opportunity to interact with local residents that are eager to meet you. Finally, you will have the time to discover the beach, to go on bike rides along the sea, to play beach-volleyball, and to participate in many other activities. You could also go and visit the villages like La Rochelle or Rochefort.
