Improvement of tourist infrastructure - Terčino Údolí Park and Nové Hrady Castle Park - maintenance of natural trails, clearing of brushwood, help with reconstruction of the artificial waterfall2.) Creative, cultural and family activities - Family point - help with providing a cultural program (theater performances for children, galleries, music mini-festival), games for the public (chess, ludo, games and competitions for children), promotion of cultural events and tourist destinations, making a video invitation to Nové Hrady in English or volunteers' native language.
Accomodation & food:
You will stay in the Pension Cesky dum. There are double and triple rooms (duvet, pillows, bed linen available) with shared showers and toilets. There is WIFI available. All meals will be provided by the local partner in a nearby community center. Location & leisure:
Location: The place of the workcamp is Nové Hrady (South Bohemian Region) located near the border with Austria. There are many many cultural monuments in the town and beautiful nature all around. The town is very active, it organizes many programs for children and families, there are three museum exhibitions (history of the city and its surroundings, the Devil's Museum, the Iron Curtain Open-Air Museum). The telephone signal is everywhere.
Leisure:
An international evening, a barbecue, sports activities (tennis, beach volleyball, basketball, scooters), dancing and fine arts, movie- or gastro night, music mini-festival, international chess tournament (possibility of active participation).
Requirements:
Due to limited outgoing resources of INEX-SDA, we kindly ask participants to contribute 10 EUR towards the costs of general incoming administration of our workcamps. The fee will be collected upon arrival. Please note that this fee does not directly contribute to the workcamp budgets.
The work will be mainly manual and outdoors. You will do different gardening works (cutting bushes and grass, raking, landscaping etc.) and some other renovation and maintenance tasks around the local kindergarten and primary school. The new school year will start at the beginning of September, so you will have a chance to meet local children and prepare a presentation about your country and culture. Bring something special from home which could be suitable for such an activity (games, music, pictures, etc.). Furthermore, you will assist with the preparation and organization of a public cultural event (beer festival).
Accomodation & food:
All the volunteers will sleep together in the local community centre on provided mattresses in their own sleeping bags. There is a common room with a kitchenette and another room for sleeping and a bathroom. You can also use a laundry room. Wifi is available. Showers will be available in the football club about 10 mins walk from the accommodation. Breakfast and lunch will be provided in the local school canteen. Dinners and all the meals during the weekend will be prepared by the group from provided ingredients. A vegetarian and vegan diet is possible.
Location & leisure:
Dysina is located about 10 km from Pilsen and it borders the Rokycany area. There is a primary school and a kindergarten, a general practitioner, a pharmacy, a football pitch, a swimming pool, a post office, a shop, a restaurant and Golf Park (Greensgate). Around 1900 inhabitants live in the village surrounded by a stunning landscape. There is a church dedicated to The Holiest Trinity of Simon and Judah built in 1328 (mass is held on Sundays). In 1995 the city centre of the town was declared a historical landmark and some decisions of the Second World War were taken here.Excursion to Pilsen (visit the famous brewery, cultural and historical monuments, museums, etc), visit the spa towns in the west of the country, trips to the surrounding countryside, swimming in a natural swimming pool, doing sports in the sports ground near the accommodation, playing board games, etc.
