During the first week, you will prepare an afternoon full of games and competitions for local children at the end of their summer holidays. Please bring some interesting games that are typical for your regions of origin or anything special you may need and which could be unavailable in the Czech Republic. Musical instruments are also very welcome. During the second week you will clean an old house and cultivate its garden. The house is going to be transformed into a cultural and social centre of the village. It is also planned to organize intercultural evenings, so take some pictures and music that represents your country and some interesting recipes with you. Do not forget some special ingredients and spices.
Accomodation & food:
In a separate private house together with the family of the local partner - two rooms available for sleeping, plus a common room, a bathroom and a kitchen. The volunteers will sleep in sleeping bags on mattresses. Bring your own sleeping bag. Lunches will be provided in the local restaurant, volunteers will prepare their own breakfast and dinner.
Location & leisure:
Location: Kysice, 4 km from Pilsen.Study part: Learn more about the history of the village Kysice from a local historian and visit an exhibition of historical photographs. Take part in a voice-training lead by a professional trainer and discover the production of animated films created by children and youth from the region (project Animania). Learn how to play golf, there will be a two-hour lesson of golf provided for the volunteers in the golf terrain near Kysice.Leisure time: There are plenty of activities the volunteers can do during their free time: visit of Pilsen (the Brewery Museum, the Pilsen brewery itself, museum of puppets, synagogue), have a campfire or a barbeque; do sports such as volleyball, foot tennis and handball; go hiking and cycling in the surroundings (bicycles will be provided by the village). During your stay a second workcamp will take place in one of the neighbouring villages i it will be possible to meet with the volunteers and plan some activities together.
Requirements:
Regarding the fact that the volunteers will stay in a private house of a family with three children (6, 11 and 13 years old), volunteers should be out-going personalities with a relation to kids, non-smokers and they should not be allergic to pets.
The volunteers will do manual works, mainly renovation of a barn. They will be using straw and clay (the main task is to apply clay plaster to the walls from straw). Additional tasks will be to prepare firewood, gardening, cutting grass and working in the kitchen. The work will be demanding i we are looking for volunteers with a good physical condition.

You will sleep in the common room of the Ashram on foam mattresses. Please take your sleeping bag There will be ONLY vegetarian food.
Location & leisure:
Location: Yoga centre Zdarec u Skutce (1km from the town Skutec with 3000 inhabitants)Study part: If you are interested in yoga, you can take part in daily lectures on yoga-practices (e.g. morning lectures, afternoon relaxation). Leisure time: You can swim in the little stream which flows right through the area of the centre or in the stone quarries close-by. Take trips to the surrounding countryside, have a campfire, play music or visit sites of interest in the surroundings.
Requirements:
Note: The yoga centre is a place where no alcohol, drugs or meat are consumed. You can smoke only in a certain area of the centre. Bring good working clothes, working boots and raingear
The main part of the work consists of manual tasks: you will do different renovation works in the brewery (such as cleaning of bricks, removing plaster, cutting wood) and cultivate the garden and the surroundings (supporting a slope with the use of stones). The work will be physically very demanding. Bring working clothes that can get dirty or damaged, some warm and waterproof clothes, too. You will need very good working shoes
Accomodation & food:
In the living area of the brewery in three separate rooms. Bring a sleeping bag and a sleeping mat. You will have at your disposal a bathroom with a shower with hot water and a washing machine. There is also a common room. The conditions are still very basic because of the reconstruction (dry toilets outside). The local partner prepares the food with occasional help of the volunteers. Take some crucial ingredients or local products to prepare your traditional food for an intercultural evening.
Location & leisure:
Location: The village of Chric (about 200 inhabitants) is located in the Western part of Bohemia, 70 km from Prague and is very isolated. In the village you can find a shop, a post office and a church.Study part: Get some knowledge about the history of the place, the history and the future of the brewery and the way beer used to be produced here. Learn about traditional rural life from the local Museum of daily life run by Propolis. We can arrange a visit of a traditional local farmer, too. The program of the workcamp will include an intercultural evening where everybody will introduce their country. You can also take part in small handicraft and artistic workshops in the evenings.Leisure time: Trips to the surroundings: ruins of the castles Krasov, Krakovec, the nature preserve Krivoklatsko, the castle Krivoklat and the muzeum Marianska Tynice. It will be possible to use local car for trips. The village has a football ground; 5-10 km from the village there is a swimming pool and a river. As a part of the workcamp a football match with local youth will be organized.
