The volunteers will renovate and repair the wall that surrounds the park of Les GlaUeuls. ATTENTION: work might sometimes be long and difficult. Volunteers will spend the whole day outside.
Accomodation & food:
You will have a dormitory in the centre with mats and bathroom with hot shower.Be aware that there is no Internet access in the camp place. During the camp, the cooking team of the centre will cook for the volunteers.
Location & leisure:
The centre is located in small village in the countryside of South Belgium. All around, there are fields, woods and small villages. There are plenty of opportunities for entertainment: football fields and tennis or basketball playgrounds-During the weekend, it will be possible to organise cultural visits and to travel to the biggest Belgian cities. The train station of Paliseul is 5 kilometres away from the Centre. From there, by train, it is possible to reach bigger urban centres such as Namur, Brussels, Arlon, Bouillon or Liege.

In partnership with a construction company focused on social improvement, l Enfance de l Art organises a renovation workcamp in the former boarding school of ) Dames de la Providence i that has hosted for 2 years the new Waldorf school of the French-speaking community of Belgium, as well as in a kindergarten in the first of the 6 renovated buildings. This company uses ecological material and techniques that are in harmony with our environment.Volunteers will work on the renovation of a second building in order for 2 extra classrooms and related premises (toilets, locker rooms, refectory, gardens and offices) to be accessible starting the school year in September 2013. They will be asked, according to work progress, to work, in 2 or 3 teams, on different techniques and activities:- Application of insulating material (wood wool/clay and straw/hemp and lime)- Disassembly of the building and sorting of materials- Renovation works in the gardens and the courtyard

In the former boarding school in other non renovated buildings- Two showers with hot water and toilets- A kitchen and dining area- Two dormsIt will be in a comfort of a Scout camp . Please bring a sleeping bag.Volunteers will be provided with a kitchen where they will cook for themselves.
Location & leisure:
Templeuve is small town 2 km away from the French border, 20 km away from Lille (France) and 10 km away from Tournai. Templeuve has its own market and neighbourhood shops, is connected to Tournai with a bus service (every hour) and has a flat land without relief, making the use of bicycles very easy (a few bicycles will be provided to volunteers). Tournai is a city that attract people who like old stones, History, museums,... Tournai cathedral has been classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Requirements:
It is a new workcamp, open to anyone interested by sustainable construction techniques. Please bring good working shoes and clothes.
Within the youth centre, volunteers will carry out different renovation tasks in order to refresh the building and green areas of the youth centre. Concretely, the workcamp will consist in developing outdoor facilities in the garden and other renovation works (painting, sanding, masonry,...).This workcamp will also give to volunteers the opportunity to meet and share their experience with the youngsters from the local community. During free time, volunteers will have the possibility to discover the region and, during the weekends, to visit other cities in Belgium.
Accomodation & food:
Volunteers will sleep in an ancient castle near the Youth Centre, located at about 200m from it. Please bring your sleeping bag.Lunches will be delivered every day while breakfasts and dinners will be prepared by volunteers in the kitchen of the youth centre. If you have a special diet, please let us know in advance.
Location & leisure:
Braine l Alleud is a city of about 40 000 inhabitants located at about 20 km from Brussels.
Volunteers will take part in different renovation activities around the farm among which : dismantling of the roof of the henhouse in preparation for building a new roof, digging trenches in order to prepare the lagooning process, cleaning up two lofts (in the cottage and the barn) in preparation for a reception room. Some tasks will be also related to the regular activities of the farm: apples and/or potatoes harvesting (depending on the season progress), maintaining the orchard, cutting and collecting wood, feeding the animals, collecting the eggs, renewing the animals litters,... Accomodation & food:
Volunteers will be divided between a cottage, a room related to this cottage and a caravan. Please bring a sleeping bag.A warm meal will be prepared everyday by Chantal, the manager of the farm. The rest of the time, volunteers will prepare themselves the meals using organic food from the shop within the farm.

Dorlou Farm is located in Wodecq, a beautiful village close to the commune of Ellezelles, that belongs to the nature park Land of Hills in the west part of Belgium. Requirements:
It is a new workcamp, and it is destined for volunteers who love nature and animals. The farm is quite isolated. Please bring good working shoes and clothes.
