Project:
Vietnam Friendship Village finds itself 15kms away from downtown of Hanoi. This is a charity project run by international committee who raise fund to help victims of chemical war in Vietnam. Founded in 1998 by the idea of an American veteran, the village is opened for disabled children whose parents are the veterans infected with the Agent Orange, the toxic chemical used in American war. Friendship Village is now a ‘campus’ housing up to 120 children and 40 veterans. The children aged 6 to 18 suffering from mental or physical disabilities are provided special education, medical rehabilitation and vocational training. In the terrace of the Village, VPV is establishing a new garden with the aim to provide fresh vegetable for the residents of the village.
Work:
In the garden, volunteers will help with clearing site, preparing soil, weeding and planting vegetables and fruit trees. In the village, volunteers will play with children, organize games in the classrooms, and try making flowers and embroideries with children.
Phu Yen is one of the CEC is an environment for children aged from 6-15 years old and an English supportive center for adults who take part in in-service training and associate training courses with universities and colleges throughout the country. In Phu Yen, volunteers will teach English to children and support the teachers to improve the english teaching methods.
Work:
Organize a play scheme for the children during summer. Different workshops such as painting, sport, art, dancing will be held by volunteers. Teaching some basic English to the children through games, songs, activities. Small renovation for classroom at the kindergarten.

Accommodation and food:
Volunteers will stay at the center with basic conditions. Volunteers will share a toilet in the room. Meals are cooked by volunteers.
Remarks:
Sleeping bag, sleeping mat, raincoat, swimming suites, info materials and pictures of your country, toys and learning materials for the children if you have.
