(1)The volunteers will serve in Community Care Station and organize some events like sing his/her folk songs, dance or making simple crafts for local elderly for 1-3 hours a time. Volunteers will also help to clean and enhance the environment conditions of the community. (2) The volunteers will support Hondao for executing the final contest of Grandpa and GrandmaU s Vigor Show, including preparation, opening show, cleaning and other activities.

Location & leisure:
Driving from Kaohsiung City, the second largest city of Taiwan, takes about 1 hour. Hot in summer.Linbian is a quiet rural township at night. If you like sea, you can swim in the sea with local people on holiday. The second largest city, Kaohsiung, is only one hour driving distance, and Ken-ding is about two hours driving distance.
Requirements:
We are keen to have the volunteer who has passion on the elderly.
A) To repair Heritage House No.57. Volunteers will repair the windows, doors of the house, paint its wall and make a new big frame. The painting subject is U(The world: one country, one ImageU , so please bring some pictures or Newspaper of your own country; you will share your own country image for community. We will make it as an international house. B) Making a public Art. Volunteers will learn how to do the public Art.

Local district civil building. Sleeping bag is required Food will be offered by local people and volunteers have a chance to cook in some cultural exchange events.

Siluo Township, a historical place in Yun-Lin County, located in the middle of Taiwan. 50 minutes to Taichung City by bus, 2.5-3.5 hrs by bus from Taipei City.Leisure:Excursion, exchange parties with local people, Kong Fu exercise, Puppet show, Bike riding, Night market, eco-tourism (free day optional), etc.

High motivation for community service and with open minded. Basic mandarin and artistic skills are welcomedVolunteers should cover the transportation and living expenses by themselves during free time.
Taisi workcamp has been organized together with NICE Japan since 2007. The first wrokcamp was so successful that local residents advised VYA to turn it into a regular activity. VYA will go hand in hand to continue the workcamp this year.
We have planned to paint for entire community with the subject of 'one country, one image for one family' to promote multicultural education. The image of painting subject is something which can be easier identify your own country such as national legend stories, festival, party and traditional clothes, etc.
We will also join some events with local people. Participants will also have opportunities to experience traditional local market, night market, and eco-tourism in free schedule, chat with local people and enjoy the passions from them.
Aims:
1) To improve the living condition in participation of public arts. 2) To add new tourism attractions in Taisi town through global and local spontaneous power 3) To promote friendship/understanding/solidarity among local people and cross-national volunteers 4) To develop international workcamps all over Taiwan
Work:
We will paint for the community with the subject 'one country, one image for one family' to promote multicultural education. Community people will learn different culture via interesting stories or images of your county. So please bring some materials to help you drawing and sharing your country culture for community.
Accommodation:
Guest house of Ma-zu Temple. Sleep in shared room with woody bed. Sleeping bag is required! Showers and toilets are available. Volunteer will cook by turns and Food will be offered by VYA. Volunteers will also have a chance to cook their traditional food in some cultural exchange events.

A small fishing village in Yun-Lin County located on the mid-western coast of Taiwan.
Travel terminal:
Tao-Yuan international airport is 4 hours of bus trip away from Taisi (the transportation fee costs about NTD$360-400 per service, passengers may need to transfer in Tai-chung city to get to Taisi or take bus from Taipei directly)
Leisure:
Excursions, cultural exchange events with local people, eco-tourism (optional), etc.
Special Requirements:
High motivation for learning and respect to local culture. Chinese language and artistic skills are welcomed but not necessarily required!
NB:
VYA will provide meals & accommodation. Volunteers should cover the transportation, insurance and living expenses by themselves during free schedule.
Participants will work with many local young volunteers in this project. First mission is to design Sishih VillageU s entrance image together and to enhance the environment of the community as request. The second one is to learn, inherit and promote Sishih broom. Lastly, volunteers will serve in Sishih Community Care Station and introduce their country s songs, dances or simple handwork making to local elderly at least two times (2 hours per time) during the workcamp.

Location & leisure:
Sishih village, Fusing Township, ChuangHua County, located in the middle of Taiwan is three hours away south from Taipei. Hot in the summer.Sishih is a quiet small village at night. It is only 5 minutes drive to the most famous historic small town in the country, Lu-Kang. If you are interested in clam hunting, seashore is 30 minutes driving distance. If you want to embrace mountain and nature, driving to Nan-tou takes only 1.5 hours.
Requirements:
We are keen to host volunteers with passion for the elderly. Bring an open mind. You can get the hugest passion and care from the locals in Sishih.
1.To lead children entertainment camp (Theme: puppet shows from different countries, folklore stories, community culture exchange) 2.Local culture specialties learning (To know about Huwei and Beigang Townships local culture specialties in depth and to teach children to show the learning achievements by drawing)
Accomodation & food:
TFCF will provide free accommodation with simple showering facilities. Sleeping bags are required Food will be offered by TFCF, and the volunteers will be divided into groups to take up the cooking tasks.

Requirements:
1) Friendly and patient individuals who have experiences in serving and hosting children's activities; non-criminal record upon application. 2) Individuals who are willing to lead puppet shows, story telling, sketchbook making and love getting along with children. 3) Youth volunteers who have basic understandings about their local drama and puppet show cultures. 4) Youth volunteers who can share their local traditional music, rhymes, or folklore dancing. 5) The service camp hours are from 8:00 to 12:00 and 13:30 to 17:30. Volunteers should cover the transportation and living expenses by themselves during free schedule. TFCF will provide free meals et accommodations on the camp working days.
We will teach international folklore music/dance/stories and play with children during the childrenU s summer camp at Taiwu Jaiping community, work together with local youth from TFCF to restore the aboriginal paintings on the walls of Taiwu Jaiping community. We would also like to promote international cultural exchanges between the local community and the volunteers through the organization of the Cultural Night. Local community members will be invited to participate in this event and enjoy the international folklore music/dance performance prepared jointly by the school children and the volunteers.

Local elementary school classroom. Sleeping bag is required Food will be offered by TFCF but the volunteers need to cook by themselves daily (on group rotation basis) and for the cultural exchange night.
Location:
A small aboriginal village in Ping-Tung County located on the southern mountainous region of Taiwan. The closest international city is Kaohsiung city, which is located about 2.5 hours away by drive.
Leisure:
Cultural night with school children and local people. On the weekend the volunteers can choose to participate in aboriginal handicraft making lessons or visit the nearby scenic spots (e.g. Kenting beach).

Fond of folklore music, dance and stories. High motivation for learning and respect the local culture. Chinese language and artistic skills are welcomed but not necessarily required As this workcamp include activities with children, please provide a recent copy of the non-criminal record (CGC) upon the application. TFCF will provide free meals et accommodations on the camp working days. Volunteers should cover the transportation and living expenses by themselves during free schedule. The transportation between the meeting point to the camp site can be arranged by TFCF but should be covered by the volunteers themselves.
