Livingstone is the tourist capital of Zambia. It is home to the Victoria Falls, one of the world’s seven natural wonders. It is also a very historic city with many relics from a bygone era. It has a railway museum and the Livingstone museum is worth visiting. The MosiOTunya National Park is home to the endangered black Rhino. Livingstone is 600km away from Lusaka and is serviced by road and air. It has its own International airport. The city itself is ever alive and if you are staying within the city, eating and shopping places are all within walking distance. YAZ has hosted seven international camps within and outside the city. Last year we went into partnership with the National Heritage Conservation Commission who are the custodians of all heritage sites in the country. We also partnered with the only youth NGO in Livingstone in implementing youth related projects within the city limits.

COST OF PARTICIPATION IN A YAZ WORKCAMP:
The work camp participation fee is 210 Euros per participant, which covers simple work camp meals, arrangements for the whole work camp preparation in terms of communication, electronic mailing and transport for meeting with different stakeholders. YAZ organizes transport for participants from the airport to (YAZ office) ONLY, where the orientation of participants takes place prior to departure to work camps destination. Pick up transport cost is 20 Euros.

« I would recommend participating in a workcamp, especially with VAP, who ensured that I found a project to suit me and provided essential training for me in preparation for my trip. Being part of a workcamp really is a life-changing experience, oh, and it looks great on your CV! »
