"Tokushima city, Tokushima pref. The closest international airport is Takamatsu airport. To get the meeting point, it will take for 3 hours by train. You need to arrive at Takamatsu airport by 10:00 on 20th, and can leave there after 17:00 on the 3rd. You can also come from Kansai internatinal airport in Osaka. It will take for 5 hours by train. You need to arrive at Kansai airport by 7:00 on the 20th, and can leave there after 21:00 on 3rd. Other activities: Join the festivals, Exchange parties, experiencing Japanese culture, etc. Study theme: Volunteers will get chance to interact with energetic local people who want to activate the small city."

-Prepare and participate a local MATSURI festival -learn and exchange culture with local residents-some manual work at a grand-opening guesthouse Up to two MTV female volunteers (CIEEJ1620) join this workcamp. Volunteers are expected to work collectively in a group, and work well.

Facilities: Japanese room and sleep on the FUTON mattress. There are a washer, a kitchen, a western lavatory and a shower room. Internet is available
Meals:
A volunteer prepares breakfast on their own. Lunch and dinner will be cooked together with volunteer members. Volunteers take turns in cooking and cleaning. A volunteer who has an allergy in wheat, meat or fish can not be accepted because those are often used in Japanese meals and a group can not prepare meals by individual request.

Mimasaka-city (http://kanko.city.mimasaka.lg.jp/ ) is famous for beautiful landscapes and hot springs. The most notable sightseeing spot is the birthplace of Musashi Miyamoto (1584~1645), the strongest swords man handling two swords at the same time. There are rich in nature that is still untouched by human. People love going on a mountain hike. A volunteer needs at least 10,000 JPY in cash if she wants to go sightseeing on free-day.

We will mainly help and join the festival by making four big lanterns ‘TORO' (2 x 2 meters) and hundreds of small lanterns together with local students. You can design your own large ‘TORO' in this festival. It will be physically challenging work.

Small town in the southern part of Fukushima. 100km far from Fukushima nuclear power plant and the level of radioactivity is 0.06 mSv/h that is far from dangerous! Tokyo (5 hours from Tokyo by bus. You need to arrive at Narita airport by 07:30 on first day and can leave there after 20:00 on last day.) Other activities: Home stay, sports, exchange parties, etc. Study theme: Activate the isolated community with suffer from depopulation through the festival and good practices in your country

Volunteers will support the local group that organizes local ferry services which many tourists make a long quene for. Also volunteers will help local activity which is held along local river. We will clean up the river.

We will cut bamboos for improving ecological situation and then, make the lanterns from those bamboos as well as other small stuffs to be used in the festival. We will also organize a program in the elementary school to promoting both inter-cultural learning and also the festival to the children.

Misato-cho located in the middle of the Shimane prefecture, famous for Iwami silver mine as a world heritage. There is hot spa, beautiful nature. Osaka. From Osaka to the meeting point, it will take 9 hours by nightbus and train. You need to arrive at Kansai airport by 17:00 on 5th and can leave there after 15:00 on 19th. Other activities: Japanese Shinto music and dance, home stay, lecture about traditional cultures. Study theme: You can get the knowledge about Japanese traditional festivals and customs.
